About Us

From the Director

This is another exciting year for Beaumont Civic Ballet with the Company 52 years old this season. Our dedicated company members are young, energetic, and on a mission to be better dancers and perform with the strongest classical company in the area. Several of our young dancers were accepted for advance summer study with the School of American Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Texas Ballet Theatre this year to mention a few.

We are so proud of our alumni that have progressed to become professional dancers with major companies, as well as dance teachers, school teachers, etc… to name a few are Edmund and Robbie LaFosse, Krissy Richmond, Margo McCann, Glen Edgerton, Jennifer Mattingly Rareshide, Allison Odom Pringle, Bret Shuford and Josh Spell.

BCB has been an Honor Company in the Regional Dance America Southwest organization for some 33 years, with an outstanding record of performing on the Festival Gala held each year in a different city. The Southwest Region includes over 20 companies in five states.

My staff of teachers are extremely talented in training the dancers, re-staging and choreographing new ballets, coaching and rehearsing the company members. BCB’s growth is impressive and our goals soar high.

On February 21, 2021, I lost my beautiful talented mother. She was witty, warm and generous, loving, intelligent, disciplined to a fault, and a mentor to many. She was truly a fabulous lady inside and out!!! While I can never completely fill my mother’s shoes, I pray that God will continue to give me the strength and knowledge necessary to carry on her legacy with grace. Words could not describe how much I truly love and admire my extraordinary mother.

Yours Respectfully,

Monique Zummo Steinhagen
